The coin launched through StonkFun on Solana at mint HcRLc9VDgjLeK154xDawfb1dmVJ98DoSqcwTHGqiDeJR, it pays its holders in Zcash out of a transfer tax, and 23,397 wallets held it on 13 September 2026, with no official X account, Telegram group or site of its own. What ZCAT is
Anonymous Cat is a cat-themed reward coin issued through StonkFun, a Solana launchpad that pairs a new coin with another token and routes a share of every transfer back to holders in it, in this case Zcash. CoinGecko’s listing describes a permanent 3% transfer tax, collected on trades and transfers, converted into ZEC rewards and airdropped proportionally to eligible holder wallets, with no staking, claiming or connection step, and it says plainly that the amount varies with activity and is not a fixed or guaranteed yield.
The rate sits in the mint itself: a transfer fee of 300 basis points, with the authority that could have changed it removed.

That is the perfect condition for impersonation. When there is no official channel, nobody can check a fake against the real thing, and the usual crypto fix makes it worse: leave the group, sign a message on a third-party site, come back with a role. Entry is one token balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 ZCAT. On 13 September 2026 the room was public, with 115 members and no reviews.
Every name in that member list passed an on-chain check run by the app. Nobody sends you a verify link, and holdings are re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells out is paywalled: it stays a member with the content withheld until the balance is back. From the room a holder can DM any wallet address , including wallets that have never opened Cherry. Type $ZCAT in the composer and the message renders a token card with price and market cap, with swaps in the chat powered by Jupiter. - Open chat.cherry.fun and sign in with a Solana wallet. The wallet signs a message: no gas, nothing on-chain.
- Create a group with a name, description and handle, and set it public so it gets a storefront page.
- Add an access requirement of the token-balance type and paste the mint

A balance gate proves a wallet held the minimum when the check ran, and nothing about the person behind that wallet, so scam links and impersonation still need moderators who can mute and ban. With no official channel to point at, treat every ZCAT announcement you see as unverified until it matches the chain.
