# WLFI community: holders verified by wallet > What WLFI is on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana, where the WLFI community argues about governance today, and how a Cherry room checks holders on-chain. The WLFI community is the crowd around World Liberty Financial, a DeFi project whose token carries voting rights over how it is run. WLFI trades as an ERC-20 on Ethereum, a BEP-20 on BNB Chain and as an SPL token on Solana, so a chat named after the ticker cannot tell which chain a member holds on, or whether a member holds at all. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join group chats that read the chain themselves. Cherry is not affiliated with the World Liberty Financial team. ## What WLFI is World Liberty Financial describes itself as "Where DeFi Meets TradFi" and ships two things: the USD1 stablecoin, with lending markets around it, and WLFI, the token that votes. Holders propose, review and vote, with voting power capped at 5% per wallet. The co-founders include members of the Trump family, with Zachary Folkman and Chase Herro as executive directors. For most of its life the token could not move: presale buyers owned a voting chip and nothing tradable, until a July 2025 vote carried with roughly 99% in favour and made WLFI transferable. Spot trading opened on 1 September 2025, with the first 20% of sale allocations released and the rest left to later votes. Chainlink's cross-chain transfer standard went live the same day, which is why one token sits on three chains. As of 13 September 2026: - Market cap: about $1.82 billion, around 49th across all crypto. - Supply: 31.777 billion circulating against a 100 billion maximum. - Ethereum, the original contract: `0xda5e1988097297dcdc1f90d4dfe7909e847cbef6`, 18 decimals, 99,527 holders. - BNB Chain: `0x47474747477b199288bf72a1d702f7fe0fb1deea`. - Solana: mint `WLFinEv6ypjkczcS83FZqFpgFZYwQXutRbxGe7oC16g`, an SPL token with six decimals, first pool opened 27 August 2025. The Solana side is small and busy: 29,783 wallets on 13 September 2026, holding about 785 million WLFI between them, roughly $45 million, against the 96.7 billion WLFI on the Ethereum contract. ## Where the WLFI community talks today The project's own surfaces, as of September 2026, are worldlibertyfinancial.com, its documentation, a governance forum at governance.worldlibertyfinancial.com, a Telegram group and the @worldlibertyfi account on X. The forum is where the arguments happen: long-running threads argue over the schedule for the remaining 80% of supply under proposal WGIP-02 and over using treasury holdings to support USD1, and in September 2026 the active threads covered releasing 50% of supply and possible legal claims. None of that tells you who is holding. Anyone with an email can post on the forum, and anyone with a phone number joins the Telegram group, so a governance-sized wallet and an impostor with a copied avatar look the same. The usual patch, a verify bot on Discord, sends members to sign a message on a third-party site, which is how phishing works too. It is Cherry's holders room, not the World Liberty Financial team's channel, and Cherry is not affiliated with the team. Entry is one balance requirement against the Solana mint above, minimum 1 WLFI. On 13 September 2026 the room was public, with 111 members and no reviews. Every name in that member list passed [an on-chain check](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/token-gated-chat/). Nobody sends you a verify link, and members are re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells out is paywalled: it stays a member with the content withheld until the balance is back. Type $WLFI in the composer and the message renders a token card with price and market cap, swaps powered by Jupiter. Open [chat.cherry.fun](https://chat.cherry.fun) and sign in with a wallet. The wallet signs a message: no gas, nothing on-chain. 2. Create a group with a name, description and handle, and set it public so it gets a storefront page. 3. Add an access requirement of the token-balance type. For Ethereum holders, paste the ERC-20 contract above; for BNB Chain holders, the BEP-20 contract; for Solana holders, the mint `WLFinEv6ypjkczcS83FZqFpgFZYwQXutRbxGe7oC16g`. Confirm the symbol resolves to WLFI before you save. Set the minimum. 1 WLFI admits any holder; a five-figure minimum narrows it to wallets that move proposals. 5. Share the room link. The project's own forum carries a pinned scam warning, and in September 2026 members were posting about a hacked presale wallet. A gate against the Solana mint sees the Solana balance and nothing else. A balance requirement proves a wallet held the minimum when the check ran, and nothing about the person behind it, so scam links still need moderators who can mute and ban. Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work; DMs are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet. Nothing here is financial advice.
