The WIF community talks on X, Telegram and Reddit, where anybody can claim a bag and nobody can check one. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any wallet address, and join group chats whose membership is read from the chain. What WIF is

WIF launched anonymously in late 2023 with no presale and no venture allocation, and its first Solana liquidity pool was created on 19 December 2023. The mint is EKpQGSJtjMFqKZ9KQanSqYXRcF8fBopzLHYxdM65zcjm, an SPL token with 6 decimals running on the original SPL Token program. Mint authority and freeze authority are both disabled, so the supply cannot grow and balances cannot be frozen.

Supply is fully circulating: 998,926,392 WIF on 11 September 2026, with circulating, total and maximum supply all the same figure. Market cap was about $194 million that day, against an all-time high of $4.83 per WIF on 31 March 2024. There is no DAO and no formal governance structure; the project describes itself as a pure meme and has never shipped an app of its own.

Two things beyond price define this community. In March 2024 holders crowdfunded close to $700,000 in USDC to put the hat on the Las Vegas Sphere; the organizers abandoned the advertisement on 31 March 2025 and refunded donors. And WIF travels: it trades on Binance, Coinbase, Kraken and Bybit, holds deep liquidity on Jupiter and Raydium, and exists as a bridged contract on Unichain as well as the Solana mint above.

Entry is a token balance rule pointed at mint EKpQGSJtjMFqKZ9KQanSqYXRcF8fBopzLHYxdM65zcjm with a minimum of 1 WIF, which the storefront shows as “Hold at least 1 $WIF”. Cherry reads the WIF balance of the wallet you signed in with when you ask to join, and keeps reading it after: sell below the minimum and you stay a member with content withheld until you top up. There is no verify bot and no second site to connect. The room opened with one member on 11 September 2026.

What holders can do once inside:

• DM any other holder wallet to wallet, with end-to-end encrypted DMs whose keys come from your wallet signature.

How to create a WIF-gated room

Any WIF group can run the same recipe, and the steps take about a minute.

1. Open chat.cherry.fun and sign in with a Solana wallet. The wallet signs a message; nothing goes on-chain and there is no gas.
2. Create a group, make it public, and claim a handle.
3. Add a gating rule of type token balance, paste the mint EKpQGSJtjMFqKZ9KQanSqYXRcF8fBopzLHYxdM65zcjm, and set the minimum amount in WIF, not in raw units.

Risks and disclaimers

WIF is a meme token with an anonymous origin and no utility claim, and it trades far below its March 2024 high. Gating checks wallet balances; behavior is a moderation problem, so the room’s rules ban scam links, impersonation and unsolicited shilling. Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work; DMs are. Check a mint against the project’s own site before you swap or gate on it.
