USELESS is an SPL token on Solana at mint Dz9mQ9NzkBcCsuGPFJ3r1bS4wgqKMHBPiVuniW8Mbonk with six decimals. The address ends in bonk because the token was minted through letsbonk.fun, the Solana launchpad named after BONK
, and its market graduated on 10 May 2025. Supply is capped at 1 billion tokens, about 999.9 million of them circulate, and the market cap was about $229 million on 12 September 2026. About 61,600 wallets held the token that day.
The product is the joke. The project’s site calls it “the world’s first cryptocurrency that promises nothing and delivers exactly that”, and its support address comes with a note not to expect an answer. Holders treat the absence of a roadmap as the thing they are long.
Attention has come from outside crypto. Kraken ran a memecoin showdown between six tokens, BERT, GIGA, PONKE, UFD, USDUC and USELESS, decided on trading volume on Kraken between 22 January and 15 February 2026, with the winner’s logo going on Atlético de Madrid’s shirt sleeve for the club’s April 2026 match against Barcelona.
Where the Useless Coin community talks today
The published channels are the theuselesscoin.com site, the @theuselesscoin account on X, and an X Community. The site lists no Telegram group and no Discord server, so the daily conversation happens in replies and quote posts, where a stranger claiming a large bag is making a claim and nothing more.
That leaves holders with two costs. Anyone can copy the avatar and open a DM about an OTC deal, and there is no place where the person you are talking to has been checked against the chain. The usual patch, a verify bot that sends you to a third-party site to sign something, has the same shape as the scam it is meant to prevent.
USELESS holders on Cherry
Cherry opened a USELESS Holders room at chat.cherry.fun/@useless on 11 September 2026. Cherry created and runs it: this is Cherry’s holders room, not the project’s channel, and Cherry is not affiliated with the Useless Coin team. Entry is a single token balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 USELESS. On 12 September 2026 the room was public, with one member and no reviews.
Every name in the member list passed an on-chain read the app does itself, and membership is re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells out loses access. Nobody sends you a verify link. From the room, holders can DM any wallet address , including wallets that have never opened Cherry, and trade the token in the chat : type the ticker and the composer renders a card with price and market cap, with the swap powered by Jupiter. Size goes through OTC escrow in the mobile app, where a program settles both legs atomically and refunds a deal that times out. An airdrop campaign can pay out against the same balance check.
A second rule can narrow the room further. A group takes up to five requirements under all or any logic, so a wallet threshold on trading volume, or a .sol name, can sit beside the USELESS balance.
