# STONK community chat: holders verified by wallet > What STONK is on Solana, where its holders talk today, and how a Cherry room gated by the real STONK mint checks every member on-chain. A STONK community chat is easy to find and hard to trust: the crowd sits in a Telegram group and an X reply section where a member list says nothing about who holds anything. STONK is an SPL token on Solana, issued by the StonkFun launchpad, and 65,692 wallets held it on 13 September 2026. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join group chats that read the chain themselves. Cherry is not affiliated with the STONK team. ## What STONK is STONK is the token of StonkFun, a Solana launchpad whose pitch is launching coins paired with anything: tokenized stocks, pre-IPO exposure, stablecoins, commodities, and other memecoins can all serve as the quote asset of a new launch. DefiLlama classes StonkFun as a Launchpad on Solana. The team behind it is anonymous and posts as @LaunchOnSF on X, with support and community in Telegram. As of 13 September 2026: - Chain and standard: Solana, SPL token under the SPL Token program, nine decimals, carrying Jupiter's verified tag. - Mint: `6GmAFSYs4gk3FDao5FzzySQpPZaWsa4rUJHacpMpUNgx`, with mint and freeze authorities disabled, so no new supply can appear there and no balance can be frozen. - Launch: the first liquidity pool opened on 23 July 2026, and StonkFun announced the current product on 2 August 2026. None of them can separate a holder from a visitor. A launchpad audience is a contract-address audience. People arrive pasting mints, asking whether this one is the real STONK or a copy with the same ticker and a stolen logo, and whoever replies fastest answers. Telegram admits anyone with a phone number, so the wallet with a six-figure position and the impostor running a copied avatar sit in the same member list. The usual fix elsewhere is a verify bot: leave the server, sign a message on a third-party site, come back with a role. Entry is a single balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 STONK. Every name in that member list passed [an on-chain check](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/token-gated-chat/) run by the app. Nobody sends you a verify link, and membership is re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells out is paywalled: it stays a member with the content withheld until the balance is back. Open [chat.cherry.fun](https://chat.cherry.fun) and sign in with a Solana wallet. The wallet signs a message: no gas, nothing on-chain. 2. Create a group with a name, description, and handle, and set it public so it gets a storefront page. 3. Add an access requirement of the token-balance type and paste the mint `6GmAFSYs4gk3FDao5FzzySQpPZaWsa4rUJHacpMpUNgx`. Confirm the symbol resolves to STONK before you save. 4. Set the minimum. 1 STONK admits any holder; a higher figure narrows the room to positions you care about. A group takes up to five rules under all (every rule passes) or any (one is enough). 5. A balance gate proves a wallet held the minimum when the check ran, and nothing about the person behind it, so scam links and impersonation still need moderators who can mute and ban.
