Sonic SVM community chat: holders verified by wallet

What Sonic SVM (SONIC) is on Solana, where its holders talk today, and how a Cherry room gated by the real SONIC mint checks every member.

A Sonic SVM community chat is easy to gate correctly, because SONIC is an SPL token with one Solana mint: SonicxvLud67EceaEzCLRnMTBqzYUUYNr93DBkBdDES. Sonic SVM is a layer-2 network on Solana built by Mirror World Inc., and 43,634 wallets held its token on 13 September 2026. The project’s public chat is a Telegram group whose member list proves nothing. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join group chats that read the chain themselves. Cherry runs a SONIC holders room at chat.cherry.fun/@sonic , gated by a SONIC balance. Cherry is not affiliated with the SONIC team.

What SONIC is

Mirror World Inc., doing business as Sonic SVM, built Sonic as a layer 2 that runs the Solana Virtual Machine, aimed at games and apps that need cheap, frequent transactions. The token announcement gave SONIC three jobs: payment inside the apps built on the rollup, staking that backs network security, and governance voting. As of September 2026 its site leads with a newer pitch, an attention capital market that turns off-chain signals such as views and clicks into on-chain rewards, and the older sonic.game address redirects to sonicsvm.org.

As of 13 September 2026:

  • Chain and standard: Solana, SPL token under the SPL Token program, nine decimals. A second contract exists on the Sonic SVM network itself, so a gate has to name the chain it checks.
  • Mint: SonicxvLud67EceaEzCLRnMTBqzYUUYNr93DBkBdDES.
  • Launch: the token generation event was 7 January 2025, with 15% of supply in circulation on day one.
  • Supply: about 360 million SONIC circulating against a 2,400,000,000 maximum, though some trackers count the full 2.4 billion as circulating, which puts their market cap at the fully diluted figure instead.
  • Market cap: about $7.6 million, against a fully diluted valuation near $50.4 million.
  • Holders: 43,634 wallets.

Where the Sonic SVM community chats today

The project’s public channels, as of September 2026, are its site at sonicsvm.org , a Telegram group at t.me/SonicSVM , a Discord at discord.gg/sonicsvm and the @SonicSVM account on X. None can tell a holder from a visitor.

Telegram admits anyone with a phone number, so a wallet holding six figures of SONIC and an impostor with a copied avatar sit side by side in the same member list. The common fix is a verify bot: leave the chat, sign a message on a third-party site, come back with a role. That loop is also the shape of the most common Solana phishing attack.

The name invites mix-ups. As of September 2026 a separate EVM network is also called Sonic and trades under the ticker S, and other listed tokens reuse the SONIC symbol outright. A room keyed to a mint never has that argument.

SONIC holders on Cherry

Cherry opened the SONIC Holders room at chat.cherry.fun/@sonic on 12 September 2026. Cherry created and runs it: this is Cherry’s holders room, not the Sonic SVM team’s channel, and Cherry is not affiliated with the SONIC team. Entry is one token-balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 SONIC, and the room is public.

Every name in that member list passed an on-chain check run by the app. Nobody sends you a verify link, and members are re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells out is paywalled: it stays a member with the content withheld until the balance is back. From the room a holder can DM any wallet address , including wallets that have never opened Cherry. Type $SONIC in the composer and the message renders a token card with price and market cap, with swaps powered by Jupiter. Size goes through OTC escrow in the Cherry mobile app, where a program settles both legs at once and refunds a deal that times out. Airdrops to holders run off the same check.

A room per game, guild or clan

Sonic’s pitch is games, and games have smaller units than “the community”. A studio building on Sonic can open a room per match, guild or clan through Cherry’s API and bots , or put a chat inside the game client, which the guide on chat for web3 games covers. Each room carries its own rule.

How to create a SONIC-gated room

  1. Open chat.cherry.fun and sign in with a Solana wallet. The wallet signs a message: no gas, nothing on-chain.
  2. Create a group with a name, description and handle, and set it public so it gets a storefront page.
  3. Add an access requirement of the token-balance type and paste the mint SonicxvLud67EceaEzCLRnMTBqzYUUYNr93DBkBdDES. Confirm the symbol resolves to SONIC before you save.
  4. Set the minimum. 1 SONIC admits any holder; a higher one narrows the room to real positions. A group takes up to five rules under all (every rule passes) or any (one is enough).
  5. Share the room link. Visitors see the requirement, and whether their wallet passes it, before they join.

Risks and disclaimers

SONIC launched with 15% of its supply circulating, so the market cap above is a slice of the fully diluted figure. A balance gate proves a wallet held the minimum when the check ran, and nothing about the person behind that wallet, so scam links and impersonation still need moderators who can mute and ban. Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work; DMs are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet. Nothing here is financial advice. Tokens can lose value.

FAQ

Is the SONIC Holders room on Cherry run by the Sonic SVM team?

No. Cherry created and runs the room at chat.cherry.fun/@sonic, and Cherry is not affiliated with the SONIC team. It is a room for holders whose wallets pass the balance check, and it does not speak for the project.

Which SONIC does the gate check?

The Solana mint SonicxvLud67EceaEzCLRnMTBqzYUUYNr93DBkBdDES, the Sonic SVM token. Other projects share the Sonic name, including a separate EVM network trading under the ticker S, and a gate keyed to a mint cannot confuse them.

How much SONIC do I need to join the Cherry room?

At least 1 SONIC in the wallet you sign in with. An owner running their own SONIC room can set any minimum.

What happens if I sell my SONIC?

Membership in a gated public group is re-checked on-chain in the background, about every three days per wallet. A wallet that drops below the minimum is paywalled: it stays a member with the room in its chat list, message content is withheld, and a later passing check or the Re-check button restores it.

Where does the Sonic SVM community talk officially?

As of September 2026, the project points people to its site at sonicsvm.org, a Telegram group at t.me/SonicSVM, a Discord at discord.gg/sonicsvm and the @SonicSVM account on X. None of those check what a wallet holds before somebody posts.
