# What is SKR token? Seeker's asset and holders chat > What SKR is on Solana: the verified mint, supply, staking and Guardians with dates, Solana Mobile's channels, and an SKR-gated room on Cherry. What is SKR token? SKR is the native asset of the Solana Mobile ecosystem, an SPL token on Solana that launched on 21 January 2026 for the Seeker phone and the Solana dApp Store around it. This page covers what the token does, where its holders talk, and how a room that checks the real mint works on Cherry (cherry.fun), a wallet-to-wallet messenger where you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join token-gated group chats. ## What is SKR token SKR is an SPL token at mint `SKRbvo6Gf7GondiT3BbTfuRDPqLWei4j2Qy2NPGZhW3` with six decimals, issued by Solana Mobile, the company behind the Seeker phone. Of the 10 billion genesis supply, 30% went out as airdrops unlocked at launch, 25% to growth and partnerships, 15% to the Solana Mobile team on a 12-month cliff and a 36-month vest, and 10% each to liquidity, Solana Labs and a community treasury. Issuance adds 10% in the first year and decays 25% a year toward a terminal 2%. The work the token does is curation. Holders stake SKR to Guardians, the operators who verify devices and review app submissions to the Solana dApp Store; Guardians are elected by the holders who stake to them. Staking epochs run two days and you can unstake after one. About 4.93 billion SKR were staked across the network on 12 September 2026. About 6.99 billion SKR circulate of the 10.59 billion issued so far, worth about $130 million on 12 September 2026 and spread across more than 46,000 wallets. Solana Mobile's Seeker Summer campaign ran four rounds of quests from July to August 2026 and paid out more than 100 million SKR to owners. ## Where SKR holders talk today Solana Mobile documents the token at [solanamobile.com/skr](https://solanamobile.com/skr), runs a [Discord server](https://discord.gg/solanamobile), and posts as @solanamobile on X. Those are company channels: announcements, support, hackathons. Two things called SKR sit next to each other, and the difference decides who gets into a room. The token is the mint above, tradeable by anyone. A `.skr` name is a soulbound identity claimed on a Seeker device and checked once; Solana Mobile reported more than 75,000 of them by October 2025. A name proves you own the device. The token proves nothing about hardware, and plenty of wallets hold one without the other. Cherry created it and runs it: this is Cherry's holders room, not Solana Mobile's channel, and Cherry is not affiliated with the SKR team. Entry is a single token balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 SKR. On 12 September 2026 the room was public, with one member and no reviews. Every name in the member list passed [an on-chain check](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/token-gated-chat/) by the app itself. Nobody DMs you a verify link, and membership is re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells out loses access. Holders can [DM any wallet address](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/dm-a-wallet-address/) from there, including wallets that never opened Cherry. Type $SKR in the composer and the message renders a token card with price and market cap, swap powered by Jupiter. Size goes through [OTC escrow](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/otc-escrow/) in the mobile app, where a program settles both legs atomically and refunds a deal that times out. One room can carry both rules and admit either kind of holder. ## How to create an SKR-gated room 1. Open [chat.cherry.fun](https://chat.cherry.fun) and sign in with a Solana wallet. The wallet signs a message; nothing goes on-chain, no gas. 2. Create a group with a name, description and handle, and set it public so it gets a storefront page. 3. Add an access requirement of the token-balance type and paste the mint `SKRbvo6Gf7GondiT3BbTfuRDPqLWei4j2Qy2NPGZhW3`. Check that the symbol resolves to SKR before saving. 4. Set the minimum. 1 SKR admits any holder; a higher minimum narrows the room to larger positions. A group takes up to five rules under all (every rule passes) or any (one is enough), so a second rule can add `.skr` name owners. 5. Share the room's public link. Visitors see the requirement, and whether their wallet passes, before joining. A balance gate proves a wallet held the minimum when it was read, not that its owner is honest, so scam links and impersonation still need mods who can mute and ban. Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work; DMs are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet. The room at chat.cherry.fun/@skr asks for at least 1 SKR in the wallet you sign in with, so any holder qualifies. An owner running their own room can set any minimum. ### What happens if I sell my SKR? Membership in a gated public group is re-checked on-chain in the background.
