What RAY is, where the Raydium community talks, and how to join or build a Cherry room gated by a real RAY balance on Solana, with the verified mint.

RAY is the token of Raydium, the automated market maker that has run on Solana since February 2021, and it lives there as an SPL token at mint 4k3Dyjzvzp8eMZWUXbBCjEvwSkkk59S5iCNLY3QrkX6R. The Raydium community is spread across Discord, Telegram and X, where a member list tells you nothing about who holds RAY and who is farming a room for exit liquidity. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join group chats that read the chain themselves. Cherry runs a RAY holders room at chat.cherry.fun/@ray , gated by a RAY balance. Cherry is not affiliated with the Raydium team.

What RAY is

Raydium is a decentralized exchange built by a team working under the pseudonyms AlphaRay, XRay and others, who opened the mainnet in February 2021. The first design fed on-chain liquidity into the Serum central limit order book, so a Raydium pool traded against the whole book rather than only against itself. Raydium itself now runs several pool types, yield farms and LaunchLab, the launchpad other projects use to issue their coins. RAY is the protocol’s own token: stake it in a Raydium staking farm to earn reward tokens, and holders can vote on certain governance proposals.

As of 12 September 2026:

  • Chain and standard: Solana, an SPL token under the SPL Token program, six decimals.
  • Mint: 4k3Dyjzvzp8eMZWUXbBCjEvwSkkk59S5iCNLY3QrkX6R, with mint and freeze authorities disabled, so no new supply can be printed there and no balance can be frozen.
  • Supply: 269,738,729 RAY circulating against a 555,000,000 maximum; that supply is allocated across liquidity mining (34%), partnerships (30%), the team (20%, on a one to three year lock-up), initial liquidity (8%), a community pool (6%, on a one-year lock-up) and advisors (2%).
  • Market cap: about $406 million.
  • Holders: more than 262,000 wallets.

Where the Raydium community talks today

Raydium’s official channels are the site at raydium.io , a Telegram group at t.me/raydiumprotocol that had 26,969 members on 12 September 2026, a Discord at discord.gg/raydium and the account @Raydium on X.

Each of them admits people, not wallets. Telegram takes anyone with a phone number, so a wallet sitting on 100,000 RAY and an impostor with a copied avatar look identical in the member list. Discord’s usual fix is a verify bot: you leave the server, sign a message on a third-party site, then come back for a role, and you repeat the loop whenever the bot loses state. That loop is also the shape of the wallet-drainer phishing pages holders get sent.

RAY holders on Cherry

Cherry’s RAY room is a public group whose membership is a balance check. Sign in with the wallet that holds your RAY, press join, and Cherry reads your balance of that mint. Sell below the minimum and the room paywalls you: you stay a member, and message content is withheld until the balance comes back.

The room opened on 11 September 2026. It is public, titled “RAY Holders”, gated by “Hold at least 1 $RAY”, and on 12 September 2026 it had one member and no reviews. Cherry created and runs it, and it is not a Raydium channel.

Four things work differently there from a Telegram group:

  • Every member passed a token gated chat balance rule against mint 4k3Dyjzvzp8eMZWUXbBCjEvwSkkk59S5iCNLY3QrkX6R, and keeps passing it in the background.
  • You can DM a wallet address you met in the room. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet signature; the group chat itself is not encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work.
  • Size deals settle through OTC escrow in the Cherry mobile app: both sides fund an on-chain escrow, the program settles atomically, and a timed-out deal refunds both senders.
  • A team can run airdrops and quest-style eligibility at a verified holder list, not at a follower count.

RAY also trades inside the chat. Typing $RAY or pasting the mint in any Cherry composer autocompletes the token and renders a card with price and market cap, and pressing Buy opens a swap routed by Jupiter , which is what trading in chat means here.

How to create a RAY-gated room

Running your own RAY holders group takes about a minute in the web app; the guide to token-gated group chats covers the rest.

  1. Open chat.cherry.fun , connect a wallet, and sign the sign-in message. Nothing goes on-chain and there is no gas.
  2. Press “Create group”, name it, and keep “Group visibility” on Public.
  3. Open “Access requirements”, switch on “Token-gated”, and paste 4k3Dyjzvzp8eMZWUXbBCjEvwSkkk59S5iCNLY3QrkX6R into “Token mint address”.
  4. Set “Minimum amount” in RAY units: 1 for an open holders room, higher for a whale room. A group takes up to five rules; under “To join, members need”, pick “All of these” or “Any one”.
  5. Save, then claim a handle in the group settings. The public page it gives you shows the requirement chips and is where holders land.
