Search “pump fun community” and most of what you find is pump.fun itself, the Solana launchpad where anyone can mint a coin, each one arriving with its own comment thread and livestream. This page covers the other half of that query: where people who hold PUMP, the launchpad’s own token, talk to each other. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger for crypto. What PUMP is

PUMP is the token of Pump.fun, the Solana memecoin launchpad and automated market maker where anyone can create a coin without writing code. The mint is pumpCmXqMfrsAkQ5r49WcJnRayYRqmXz6ae8H7H9Dfn, six decimals, and it runs on Solana’s Token-2022 program rather than the older SPL token program. CoinGecko and Jupiter both show that mint for PUMP, and its first liquidity pool was created on 12 July 2025.

Supply is fixed at a maximum of 1 trillion PUMP, of which 414.5 billion was circulating on 11 September 2026. It carried a market cap of about $1.5 billion that day, 54th overall, and both the mint authority and the freeze authority are disabled, so no more can be minted and no balance can be frozen. Utility is thinner than the market cap suggests: CryptoSlate’s 2026 review of Pump.fun found no evidence that holding PUMP lowers trading fees, opens VIP tiers, or changes market access on the launchpad. Holding it is exposure to the launchpad’s fortunes, which is why PUMP holders look for a standing room of their own.

Where the pump fun community talks today

Pump.fun publishes a site at pump.fun and the X account @pumpdotfun, plus accounts on Instagram (@pumpdotfun_), TikTok (@pump.fun) and YouTube (@pumpfunofficial). As of 11 September 2026 the project lists no official Telegram group, so most “Pump.fun Telegram” links people paste are someone’s group, not the project’s.

Inside the launchpad, conversation is per coin: a comment thread and a livestream attached to each new mint, built for the people trading that coin while it is moving. Nothing there checks whether the person posting holds PUMP. Once the coin stops moving, the thread goes quiet. The usual overflow rooms have the usual problems. Sign in with the wallet that holds your PUMP, and membership is granted after the balance check passes. There is no verify bot, no separate verification site, and no link in your DMs asking you to sign something.

Cherry created the room and runs it. Cherry is not affiliated with the Pump.fun team, and this is a holders room rather than an official project channel: announcements from the team stay on their own accounts. The room opened on 11 September 2026 at chat.cherry.fun/@pump .

Membership is re-checked in the background, so a wallet that sells below 1 PUMP loses access. From inside the room you can DM any wallet address one to one with end-to-end encrypted messages, paste a mint or a ticker to render a token card and swap through in-chat trading , settle a block through OTC escrow in the Cherry mobile app, and receive airdrops that use the same token-balance check for eligibility. Cherry’s hot-coins feed surfaces pump.fun callouts inside chats, so the trending mints arrive where holders already are.

Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work. One-to-one DMs are.

How to create a PUMP-gated room

  1. Open chat.cherry.fun and sign in with your Solana wallet. The wallet signs a message: nothing goes on-chain and there is no gas.
  2. Create a group, give it a handle, and set it public so the storefront page can be indexed.
  3. Add a gating rule of type token balance and paste the mint pumpCmXqMfrsAkQ5r49WcJnRayYRqmXz6ae8H7H9Dfn. Set the minimum in whole PUMP.
  4. For a tighter room, add more rules (up to five), such as a .sol domain alongside the PUMP balance, and choose whether members need all of them or any one.
  5. Publish. Members see which rules they pass before they join, and the chain is re-checked in the background afterwards.
