POPCAT is an SPL token on Solana at mint 7GCihgDB8fe6KNjn2MYtkzZcRjQy3t9GHdC8uHYmW2hr, with nine decimals and a supply of about 979.98 million tokens, effectively all of it circulating. Mint and freeze authorities are disabled, so no new supply can be printed and no wallet’s balance can be frozen. Market cap was about $47 million on 12 September 2026, 479th by CoinGecko’s ranking, which files the token under Meme, Solana Meme, Cat-Themed and Murad Picks.
The meme came first. Pop Cat is an October 2020 internet meme made of two photos of a shorthair cat called Oatmeal, one with its mouth shut and one with it open in an O. Three University of Sheffield students built the clicker game around it in December 2020, where tapping the cat racks up pops against a country leaderboard. The token arrived on Solana in December 2023 with no company, no foundation and no treasury behind it. CoinGecko’s listing is blunt about what that leaves: “The POPCAT token is a meme coin with no inherent value or financial expectations, and it is intended solely for entertainment.”
Ownership is concentrated: Jupiter’s audit view put top holders near 39% of supply on 12 September 2026. The run that made the ticker famous peaked on 17 November 2024, the all-time-high date CoinGecko still records.

POPCAT holders on Cherry
Cherry opened a POPCAT Holders room at chat.cherry.fun/@popcat on 12 September 2026. Cherry created it and runs it: this is Cherry’s holders room, not the token’s channel, and Cherry is not affiliated with the Popcat team. Entry is one token balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 POPCAT. On 13 September 2026 the room was public, with 236 members and no reviews.
Every name in that member list was read off the chain by the app itself, so nobody sends you a verification link. Token-gated chat explains the rule types; membership is re-checked in the background, and a wallet that sells out of POPCAT is paywalled: it stays a member with the content withheld until the balance is back. From the room you can DM any wallet address , including wallets that never opened Cherry, and trade in the chat : type the ticker and the message renders a token card with price and market cap, with the swap powered by Jupiter. - Create a group with a name, description and handle, and make it public so it gets a storefront page.

Risks and disclaimers
POPCAT has no team to hold accountable, so impersonation is the standing risk: check the mint against the official site before you trade or gate anything by it. A balance rule proves a wallet held the minimum when it was read, not that its owner is honest, so scam links still need mods who can mute and ban. Concentrated ownership cuts both ways in a chat too, because a few wallets can pass a high minimum and speak as the room.
