PNUT is an SPL token on Solana at mint 2qEHjDLDLbuBgRYvsxhc5D6uDWAivNFZGan56P1tpump, with six decimals and a supply of 999,841,628 tokens against a one billion maximum. Mint and freeze authorities are disabled, so no new PNUT can be printed and no balance can be frozen.

The token is a memorial. P’Nut was a squirrel kept at P’Nut’s Family Freedom Farm in New York and an online sensation there for seven years, until New York State wildlife officials seized him and put him down; the project’s site at pnutsol.com still leads with that story. PNUT was minted on pump.fun on 31 October 2024, and it graduated from the bonding curve to an open pool about forty-five minutes later.

CoinGecko files PNUT under meme, Solana meme and memorial-themed: the holders are the project. The buying that followed the launch carried PNUT to an all-time high of $2.44 on 13 November 2024, two weeks after the mint. Market cap was about $47 million on 13 September 2026, 477th by CoinGecko’s ranking, spread across 87,132 wallets.

Where the PNUT community chats today

The project keeps three channels: the site at pnutsol.com, the pnutsolana account on X, and the pnutportal group on Telegram. CoinGecko carries the same X account and the same Telegram group, and no Discord server appears on either.

One open Telegram group for a holder base that size has the failure mode every large meme group has. A name and an avatar are cheap to copy, so an impersonated portal group is the standing risk, and cold scam DMs follow a first message. Cherry created and runs it: this is Cherry’s holders room, not the token team’s channel, and Cherry is not affiliated with the PNUT team. Entry is a single token balance rule against the mint above, minimum 1 PNUT. It is public, and on 13 September 2026 it had 98 members and no reviews.

The app reads the chain itself when you join, so nobody sends you a verification link and no bot asks you to sign on a third-party site. Token-gated chat explains the rule types, and membership is re-checked in the background: a wallet that sells out of PNUT is paywalled: it stays a member with the content withheld until the balance is back. 2. Create a group with a name, description and handle, and keep it public so it gets a storefront page.
3. Add an access requirement of the token balance type and paste the mint 2qEHjDLDLbuBgRYvsxhc5D6uDWAivNFZGan56P1tpump. Confirm the symbol resolves to Peanut the Squirrel before you save: every pump.fun mint ends in “pump”, and one wrong character is a different token.
4. Set the minimum. 1 PNUT admits any holder; 1,000,000 PNUT builds a room of larger positions. A group takes up to five rules under all (every rule passes) or any (one is enough), so you can combine the balance with a .sol or .skr name.

Risks and disclaimers

PNUT has no official Discord, so a fake channel or a wrong mint is what costs holders money: read the mint off pnutsol.com or an explorer before you trade or gate anything by it. A balance rule proves a wallet held the minimum when the chain was read, not that its owner is honest, so a room still needs mods who can mute and ban. Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work; DMs are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet.
