Jito Telegram and JTO chat: where holders talk

What JTO is on Solana, the Jito Telegram and forum links holders use today, and a Cherry room gated by a real JTO balance with the verified mint.

JTO is the governance token of Jito Network, the Solana operation behind JitoSOL liquid staking and a set of MEV products, and it lives on Solana as an SPL token at mint jtojtomepa8beP8AuQc6eXt5FriJwfFMwQx2v2f9mCL. Anyone hunting for a Jito Telegram group lands on the one listed on the coin’s CoinGecko page, a trading chat open to any phone number; the decisions that move the protocol happen on a forum and a vote page. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join group chats that read the chain themselves. What JTO is

Jito Network runs JitoSOL, a liquid staking token whose holders earn staking yield plus a share of MEV revenue, along with the MEV software around it. The Jito Foundation issued JTO as the governance token for that work. The Block reported the plan on 27 November 2023: one billion JTO in total, 115 million circulating at launch, 10% of supply set aside for the community, and holders voting on matters such as JitoSOL staking pool fees and the DAO treasury.

As of 12 September 2026:

  • Chain and standard: Solana, SPL token under the SPL Token program, nine decimals.
  • Mint: jtojtomepa8beP8AuQc6eXt5FriJwfFMwQx2v2f9mCL, with mint and freeze authorities disabled, so no new supply comes from that mint and no balance can be frozen.
  • Launch: the airdrop claim opened on 7 December 2023, 90 million JTO for JitoSOL holders, validators running Jito’s MEV client, and users of its MEV services.
  • Supply: 520,423,786 JTO circulating against a 1,000,000,000 total.
  • Market cap: about $235 million, ranked 157 among all tokens.
  • Holders: 89,195 wallets.

Jito Telegram, the forum and the DAO vote

Three places carry JTO conversation, and only one of them decides anything. The Telegram group listed on Jito’s CoinGecko page is JTX Community at t.me/jtx_trade, and the Discord invite on that listing, discord.gg/jtxcommunity, opens a server under the same name; both are open trading chat. Proposals live on the Jito Foundation forum at forum.jito.network, whose Announcements category states that official Jito DAO announcements will only be made there. Its official proposal category held 39 topics on 12 September 2026, among them JIP-38, “Confirm Jito as a Token-Centric Network”, on 13 July 2026 and JIP-39 on JitoSOL economics on 26 August 2026. Voting happens at gov.jito.network, which opens the Jito DAO on Realms and weighs a wallet by the JTO it holds or has been delegated.

None of those surfaces show what the person typing holds. A Telegram group admits anyone with a phone number, so a wallet sitting on 200,000 JTO and an impostor with a copied avatar read the same in the member list. Discord’s usual patch is a verify bot: you leave the server, sign a message on a third-party site, and come back with a role.

JTO holders on Cherry

Cherry’s JTO room is a public group whose membership is a balance check. Sign in with the wallet that holds your JTO, press join, and Cherry reads your balance of that mint. Sell below the minimum and the room paywalls you until the balance comes back.

The room opened on 11 September 2026: public, titled “JTO Holders”, gated by “Hold at least 1 $JTO”, with one member and no reviews on 12 September 2026. Cherry runs it, and it is not a Jito Foundation channel.

Four things work differently there:

  • Every member passed a token-gated chat balance rule against mint jtojtomepa8beP8AuQc6eXt5FriJwfFMwQx2v2f9mCL, and keeps passing it: Cherry re-checks holdings in the background, so a wallet that sells loses access.
  • You can DM a wallet address you met in the room. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet signature; the group chat itself is not encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work.
  • Size deals settle through OTC escrow in the Cherry mobile app: both sides fund an on-chain escrow and the program settles atomically, refunding both senders when a deal times out.
  • A team can point airdrops and quest-style eligibility at a verified holder list.

Typing $JTO in any Cherry chat autocompletes the token and renders a card with price and market cap; pressing Buy opens a swap routed by Jupiter in the web app, which is what trading in chat means here. On iOS, Buy and Swap are outbound links; Cherry never holds funds.

How to create a JTO-gated room

  1. Open chat.cherry.fun , connect a wallet, and sign the sign-in message. Nothing goes on-chain and there is no gas.
  2. Press “Create group”, name it, and leave “Group visibility” on Public.
  3. Open “Access requirements” and switch on “Token requirement”, the app’s minimum SPL token balance rule.
  4. Paste jtojtomepa8beP8AuQc6eXt5FriJwfFMwQx2v2f9mCL into “Token mint address” and set “Minimum amount” in JTO units: 1 for an open holders room, higher for a whale room. A group takes up to five rules; under “To join, members need”, pick “All of these” or “Any one”.
  5. Save, then claim a handle in the group settings; the public page it gives you lists the requirement.

Risks and disclaimers

A balance rule proves a holding at the moment it is read and nothing about the person behind the wallet, so treat offers in any room with normal suspicion. JitoSOL is a different token from JTO, and a JTO rule ignores it. Check the mint above against Jupiter or CoinGecko before pasting it into a rule. Nothing here is financial advice. How much JTO do I need to join the Cherry room?

At least 1 JTO in the wallet you sign in with. The rule reads your balance of mint jtojtomepa8beP8AuQc6eXt5FriJwfFMwQx2v2f9mCL when you ask to join, and Cherry re-checks it in the background afterwards.

What can JTO holders do besides chat?

JTO is the Jito Network governance token: holders discuss Jito Improvement Proposals on the forum at forum.jito.network and vote on them through the Jito DAO at gov.jito.network, where voting weight comes from JTO held or delegated.
