What is cherry fun? The cherry.fun app explained
What cherry.fun is, who builds it, what it costs, whether it is safe, and the four steps from a connected wallet to your first DM and gated group.
Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any wallet address, and join or create token-gated, NFT-gated, and paid group chats. Signing in with a wallet needs no phone number, email, or KYC. Searches like “cherry fun”, “cherry fun app” and “is cherry fun safe” all land on this one product, built by Cherry Technologies, S.A. and shipping as a web app, an iOS app, an Android app, and a Solana dApp Store listing. This guide ends with four steps from a connected wallet to your first DM and your first gated group.
What cherry.fun is
Four things live in the same app. DMs to any wallet address or name such as alice.sol or alice.skr, end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet signature. Groups that check the chain themselves, gated by a token balance, an NFT collection, a .sol or .skr domain, a wallet threshold, or a payment. Trading inside the conversation: type $TICKER or paste a contract address and the message renders a token card, with Jupiter-powered swaps on web. And mini apps
, web apps that open inside a chat with your wallet and room context.
Cherry runs several mini apps itself. The Trading Terminal trades spot tokens, perps and tokenized stocks. Its Stocks & RWAs board lists xStocks; check the Verified mark and the RWA tag, because tokens that copy xStock names also turn up in its full list. In the Polymarket mini app you buy YES or NO on an event with a USDC amount and sign the transaction in your own Solana wallet. Earn, titled “Earn: Yield Farming”, listed lending, staking, savings and LP vaults in October 2026. Games sit alongside them; SOL Miner and Plinko are wagering games that take real SOL.
As of October 2026 the xStocks issuer states: “xStocks are not available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or sanctioned jurisdictions.” As of October 2026 the Polymarket trade sheet asks you to agree that you are not “(i) a U.S. person and (ii) located in the United States, France or other restricted territory.” Rules differ by country. Nothing here is financial advice.
Cherry started on Solana and also supports Base, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and Robinhood Chain, so a room can gate on ERC-20 holdings and you can DM an Ethereum address.
As of September 2026 Cherry has 70k+ people in live communities, a 4.8-star rating from 5,000+ reviews, and the #1 spot on the Seeker dApp Store. Cherry Announcements, the channel every signed-in wallet belongs to, had 77,442 members on 11 September 2026.

Before you start
- A Solana wallet: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or the Seed Vault Wallet on a Solana Seeker.
- Nothing to fund. Wallet sign-in is Sign In With Solana: the wallet signs a message, nothing goes on-chain, no gas, and you give no phone number, email, or KYC. You need funds only when you buy a token, pay to join a group, send a paid DM or use a mini app.
Without a wallet, the Cherry web app offers Google, Apple or X sign-in. That sign-up adds a step, “Your Cherry Wallet”, which says “Every Cherry ID has a wallet for mini apps and tips.” and sets a password: “Cherry can’t reset it, so keep it safe.”
Step 1: Sign in with your wallet
Open chat.cherry.fun or the mobile app and pick your wallet in the connect sheet; the button reads “Sign in with Phantom” for Phantom, and the same for each installed wallet. The signature derives your encrypted messaging identity, and the private key never leaves the wallet.
On the web app a first sign-in runs a short setup: “This is your Cherry ID” (a display name and picture, or “Not now”), then “What are you into?” (at least two picks), then “Your starting lineup”, rooms Cherry recommends from your picks; the ones you can enter are already marked “Joined”. Tap “Joined” on any you want to leave out.
You know it worked when the chat list shows the tabs “All”, “DMs”, “Groups” and “Requests”, with Cherry Announcements already in it; on the web app, press “Done” on the “You’re all set” screen, then open “Chats”.
Step 2: DM a wallet address
Open search and paste an address, or type a name, into the field marked “Wallet, domain or group name”. SNS names (.sol, also written .sns), .skr names and AllDomains TLDs resolve to the wallet behind them.
A first message to a stranger lands in their “Requests” tab with no push notification, and declining is silent. A paid DM arrives with a notification for a flat fee, 0.01 SOL by default as of 10 September 2026, and is sent only after the payment confirms on-chain. DM a wallet address covers both.
You know it worked when the thread shows your message as sent, even to a wallet that has never opened Cherry.
Step 3: Join a community
Open the Marketplace at chat.cherry.fun/market , which you can browse without signing in. Search with “Search apps and communities” or tap the “Free” or “Gated” chips. A card opens the group’s storefront page, with its rules, benefits, member count and reviews, and a gated room shows which requirements your wallet passes before you press “Join Group”.
Seeker Club, the largest Seeker owners community on Cherry, is gated by holding a .skr domain. On 11 September 2026 it had 8,637 members, 58,198 messages and 4.9 stars from 41 reviews. The Seeker Club guide
covers the requirement.
You know it worked when the room moves into your “Groups” tab and you can post.
Step 4: Start your own group
Press “Create group”, fill in the field marked “Name the group”, and choose public or private. A group can carry up to five gating rules, combined with all-of-these or any-one logic. Cherry re-checks holders in the background, so a member who sells the token is paywalled without anyone sending a verify link.
A one-time entry fee runs from 0.0001 to 100 SOL, split 70% to the owner and 30% to Cherry as of 10 September 2026; USDC memberships bill daily, weekly or monthly, 1 to 10,000 USDC per period. See paid communities and channels and the token-gated group chat walkthrough .
You know it worked when the group appears in your Groups tab and, if public, a logged-out visitor can open its storefront by its handle.
Is cherry.fun safe?
The security surface in plain terms, including the part that is not encrypted.
- Wallet sign-in moves no money. In the web app’s Ledger mode you approve a transaction that the app says “can never be sent to the network and costs nothing.” A login that asks for a transfer is not Cherry.
- DMs are end-to-end encrypted with keys derived from your wallet signature. With an external wallet, the private key never leaves that wallet.
- Group chats are not end-to-end encrypted, by design, so moderation and bots can work; treat a group like a Telegram group. Messages are stored off-chain on Cherry servers.
- Assets in an external wallet stay in it. Swaps route through Jupiter, and OTC deals, in the mobile app, settle in an on-chain escrow program where Cherry is not a counterparty and takes no fee.
- After Google, Apple or X sign-up in the Cherry web app, save the Cherry Wallet’s recovery phrase. The app warns: “Anyone with these words has your wallet. Cherry will never ask for them.”
- Brand-new wallets cannot post in public groups or leave reviews, and their cold DMs land hidden.
- Under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency definition, Cherry does not track users.
What cherry.fun costs
Nothing to sign in, message, join a free group, or create a community. As of 10 September 2026 Cherry takes 30% of paid group entry fees and USDC subscriptions (owners keep 70%), the paid-DM fee, and a referral share on in-chat swaps. Cherry-run mini apps charge their own fees: Earn charges its own fee, shown in the app before you sign.
Troubleshooting
- On Android the wallet sheet opens and nothing happens: approve the Mobile Wallet Adapter request in the wallet app itself, then return to Cherry.
- A gated room will not let you in: the preview marks each requirement as passed or not. Holding the token in a different wallet than the one you signed in with is a common cause.
- You paid for a group and lost access later: a failed USDC pull paywalls a recurring member. The membership stays, and re-subscribing through the same paid-join flow restores access.
