How to buy tokenized stocks with USDC from a chat
Buy a stock token such as NVDAx with USDC from a Cherry chat: check eligibility, open the Trading Terminal, confirm in your wallet, find it under Holdings.
This guide shows how to buy tokenized stocks such as NVDAx with USDC from a Cherry chat, so the stock token ends up in your own Solana wallet. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any wallet address, and join token-gated and paid group chats. Its Trading Terminal mini app trades spot tokens, perps and tokenized stocks inside the chat. The guide is for traders who already hold USDC on Solana, and it starts with the issuer’s eligibility rule, because that decides whether you should read on.
Before you start
Check eligibility first. As of October 2026, the xStocks site states: “xStocks are not available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or sanctioned jurisdictions.” It also says: “xStocks are not available in the United States or to U.S. persons”. If either line describes you, stop here and do not follow the steps below. The roundup of where to buy tokenized stocks compares other issuers and venues, each with its own eligibility rules.
If you are eligible, you need three things:
- A Solana wallet that signs in to Cherry: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or the Seed Vault Wallet on a Solana Seeker. A Ledger works through the sign-in card’s “Ledger hardware wallet” switch in the Cherry web app.
- USDC in that wallet for the purchase, plus a little SOL for network fees.
- The Cherry web app at chat.cherry.fun. The in-chat steps are written from the web app. In the Cherry iOS app, the token card’s Buy is an outbound link to Jupiter or MoonPay, to satisfy App Store rules, so the sheet in Step 2 is not what you see there.
xStocks are issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, and as of October 2026 the issuer’s site says each one “is backed 1:1 by the underlying asset held in regulated custody”. What that backing covers, and what can still go wrong, is the subject of are tokenized stocks safe . Read it before you size a first buy.
Step 1: Sign in to Cherry with your wallet
Open chat.cherry.fun, connect your wallet and press “Sign & Authenticate”. The screen says “Signing is free and moves no money”: the wallet signs a message, nothing goes on-chain, and no gas is spent. Wallet sign-in needs no phone number, email or KYC.
You know it worked when the sign-in screen closes and your chat list opens.
Step 2: Open the stock token from a chat
In any chat, type $NVDAx in the composer or paste the token’s mint address. The composer suggests matching tokens from Jupiter’s token search; pick the one named NVIDIA xStock and send it. The message renders a token card bound to that mint.
The card shows the price and 24h change, a grid labelled MC, FDV, 24h Vol and Liq, and a BUY button that reads NOT TRADABLE when Jupiter cannot trade the token. Two marks can sit next to the symbol: Jupiter’s verified check when Jupiter verifies the token, and Jupiter’s organic-activity shield when Jupiter rates its on-chain activity high. Both marks are Jupiter’s ratings of the token, and neither is a safety check.
Tap BUY. A sheet titled “Buy $NVDAx” opens with the live price, a Chart chip and a Terminal chip. Tap Terminal, and Cherry opens the Trading Terminal’s room with the mini app already on NVDAx. The sheet has its own You pay field too, which starts on SOL when you hold some; the Terminal ticket starts on USDC.
You know it worked when the Terminal shows the NVDAx page with a Buy and Sell ticket.
Step 3: Or pick it from the Stocks & RWAs board
Open chat.cherry.fun/@trade to launch the Trading Terminal without a chat message. The home screen has four boards: Trending, Top traded, Stocks & RWAs and Quality. The Stocks & RWAs board lists xStocks; check the Verified mark and the RWA tag on a row before you open it, because tokens that copy xStock names also turn up in its full list. The Search markets box takes a symbol, a name or a mint address.
The Terminal’s room had 1,076 members and a rating of 5 stars from 3 reviews in October 2026.
You know it worked when the row you opened carries both marks and the page names the xStock you meant, NVIDIA xStock for NVDAx.
Step 4: Buy with USDC and confirm in your wallet
The ticket opens on Buy, and Pay with starts on USDC. Type an amount or tap a preset: $10, $50, $100, $500 or Max. The line under the amount expands into three rows, You receive, Price impact and Slippage. Read Price impact before you press anything: it is how far your own order moves the price across the liquidity it routes through, and it grows with the size of the order.
Press the button, which reads Buy NVDAx with your dollar amount. The status runs “Confirm in your wallet…” and then “Submitting to Solana…”, and your wallet asks you to approve one transaction. The rest of the ticket, perps included, is covered on the Trading Terminal mini app page.
You know it worked when the ticket shows “Swap confirmed” with a View link to the transaction on Solscan, and a Bought NVDAx notice appears.
Step 5: Check the token under Holdings
Open Portfolio in the Terminal. The Holdings tab lists every token in the wallet with its value, and NVDAx should be in it. The figures at the top (all time, open and realized) use a cost basis built only from trades made in the Terminal, so a stock token you bought on another app shows a value with no basis behind it.
With your own wallet, Cherry never holds the funds. The token sits in that wallet, yours to send, hold or sell from any Solana app that supports it.
You know it worked when NVDAx appears under Holdings and in your wallet’s token list.
Troubleshooting
High price impact. The available liquidity cannot absorb your size at the quoted price. Trade a smaller amount, and look at the Liq figure on the token card before you try again.
The card shows NOT TRADABLE. Jupiter cannot trade that mint, and the button’s tooltip says “Not tradable on Jupiter”. You may have picked a token that copies an xStock name. Open the Stocks & RWAs board and choose the row with the Verified mark and the RWA tag.
Buy opens Jupiter or MoonPay. You are in the Cherry iOS app, where the card’s Buy is an outbound link. The steps in this guide follow the Cherry web app.
The wallet cannot sign. If the signing step fails or you reject the prompt, the ticket shows the error, nothing is sent, and the button turns into Retry. Use Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or the Seed Vault Wallet for signing. With a Ledger at sign-in, the card says “Ledger can’t sign messages. Turn on Ledger mode below and try again.” Turn on the “Ledger hardware wallet” switch and sign in again.
“Amount exceeds your USDC balance”. Lower the amount or add USDC to the wallet, and keep a little SOL for the network fee.
The price looks off outside US market hours. As of October 2026, xstocks.com describes xStocks as “tradeable 24/7”. The xStocks documentation says secondary trading runs 24/7 while issuance and redemption with the issuer follow US market days, and that secondary-market prices come from supply and demand on each venue, which the issuer does not control. The quote you see at night is the on-chain market’s own.
Open chat.cherry.fun/@trade and find the Stocks & RWAs board when you are ready. Nothing here is financial advice. Tokens can lose value.

FAQ
Can I buy stocks with USDC?
You can buy tokenized stocks with USDC on Solana if the issuer’s rules allow you to hold them. xStocks such as NVDAx swap against USDC like any other Solana token, and in Cherry’s Trading Terminal the Pay with field starts on USDC. The xStocks documentation describes each xStock as giving economic exposure to a specific stock or ETF, fully collateralized 1:1 by that asset, and Backed Assets (JE) Limited issues it.
Can US residents buy xStocks?
No. As of October 2026 the xStocks site says “xStocks are not available in the United States or to U.S. persons” and that they are not available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or sanctioned jurisdictions. Readers in those places should compare other venues and their own rules in the roundup of where to buy tokenized stocks.
Do I get dividends from xStocks?
Not in cash. Kraken’s xStocks FAQ says dividend payouts are reinvested into more of the same token, so your xStocks balance increases to reflect the dividend. The xStocks documentation adds that this runs through a rebasing mechanism, net of applicable taxes, and that on Solana the adjusted balance is displayed through the Scaled UI extension.
Can I sell tokenized stocks at night or at the weekend?
The xStocks documentation says xStocks can be traded on secondary markets 24/7 like any other token, while issuance and redemption with the issuer follow US market days, normally 24/5. Outside market hours the price you get is set by supply and demand on the venue you trade on, which the issuer does not control. Selling in the Terminal uses the Sell side of the same ticket.
