# How to buy RWA tokens on Solana from a Cherry chat

> Buy xStocks, other tokenized assets and USDC from a Cherry chat: where each sits in the app, what you sign, what you hold and who the issuer excludes.

RWA tokens are crypto tokens backed by something that lives off-chain, such as dollars, Treasury bills, listed shares, gold or private loans, and this page shows how to buy RWA tokens from inside a Cherry chat. Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any address, and join token-gated and paid group chats on Solana. Each kind below is mapped to its place in the app, what you sign, what you hold afterwards, and who its issuer does not offer it to.

One line first, because search results mix them up: an RWA coin such as ONDO is a protocol's own token. It trades on the RWA theme, and holding it gives you no claim on anything held off-chain. The [RWA glossary entry](https://cherry.fun/learn/glossary/rwa-crypto/) draws that line in more detail.

## What you can buy on Cherry

Three kinds of real-world-asset token reach a Cherry chat: tokenized stocks (xStocks), other tokenized assets that trade on Solana, and dollar stablecoins. Every purchase is a Solana swap you sign yourself.

| What you buy | Where in Cherry | What you sign | What you hold after | Who it is not offered to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| xStocks (tokenized US stocks and ETFs, such as NVDAx or SPYx) | The Stocks & RWAs board in the Trading Terminal, or BUY on a $TICKER card in a chat, then the Terminal chip | One swap transaction in your wallet | The xStock token in your Solana wallet | Residents of the US, UK, Canada, Australia and sanctioned jurisdictions, and US persons (the issuer's rule, quoted below) |
| Other tokenized assets that trade on Solana | A token card in a chat, or the Terminal's search by name or pasted mint, where Jupiter can route the token | One swap transaction in your wallet | That token in your wallet | Set by each issuer; read its terms before you buy |
| USDC | The in-chat swap from a token card, or the Terminal | One swap transaction in your wallet | USDC in your wallet | Sanctioned persons, under Circle's USDC terms (updated December 2025); redeeming with Circle needs a Circle Mint account |

The Stocks & RWAs board lists xStocks, as of October 2026. Ondo's tokenized stocks, pre-IPO tokens and other tokenized assets are not on it: you reach them only through search or a pasted mint address. xStocks are issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, which says each one is backed 1:1. Circle describes USDC as "redeemable 1:1 for US dollars and backed by highly liquid cash and cash-equivalent assets".

## How to buy RWA tokens in a Cherry chat

You buy an RWA token the way you buy any Solana token in Cherry, by one of two paths that end in the same swap.

The first path starts in the Terminal. The [Trading Terminal mini app](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/trading-terminal-mini-app/) runs inside Cherry at chat.cherry.fun/@trade and opens with the wallet session you already have. Its home screen carries four boards, labelled "Trending", "Top traded", "Stocks & RWAs" and "Quality". The Stocks & RWAs board lists xStocks. Check the Verified mark and the RWA tag on each row, because tokens that copy xStock names also turn up in its full list. For anything not on the board, the search field ("Search markets") takes a name, a symbol or a mint address. The spot ticket shows "You receive", "Price impact" and "Slippage" before you confirm.

The second path starts in the chat. Type `$NVDAx` or paste a contract address in a message and the composer turns it into a token card bound to that mint. On the web app the card shows the price, the 24h change and four stats ("MC", "FDV", "24h Vol" and "Liq"), plus a "BUY" button. BUY opens a swap sheet powered by Jupiter, and that sheet carries a chip labelled "Terminal" that opens the Trading Terminal on the same token. [Trading in chat](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/trading-in-chat/) covers the card in full.

Both paths end in a transaction your wallet asks you to approve. With an external wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or the Seed Vault Wallet, Cherry never holds the funds: the token moves from the swap into that wallet. On iOS the in-chat Swap and Buy are outbound links, to Jupiter and MoonPay, so the swap finishes outside the Cherry app.

Some tokenized assets will not route at all, so a swap finds no route to them. In a chat the sign is plain: the token card shows "NOT TRADABLE" where BUY would be. The verified check next to a symbol is Jupiter's rating, and it says nothing about whether the token is safe.

## xStocks: issuer, backing and eligibility

xStocks are what the Terminal's Stocks & RWAs board lists, so they get the closest look here. The issuer's site describes them as tokenized representations of specific US equities and ETFs, issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, a Jersey company. It also states: "Each xStock is backed 1:1 by the underlying asset held in regulated custody, and can be redeemed by the equivalent cash value or its underlying." On Solana they are Token-2022 tokens. Kraken's xStocks FAQ says dividends are reinvested into more of the same token, so a dividend shows up as a larger balance and never as cash.

The issuer limits who may buy them. In October 2026 xstocks.com said, in two places:

> "xStocks are not available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or sanctioned jurisdictions."

> "xStocks are not available in the United States or to U.S. persons"

Eligibility is the issuer's rule. Read it against your own residence and status before you buy; the legal documents and the risk disclosure are linked from xstocks.com. The [guide to tokenized stock safety](https://cherry.fun/learn/guides/are-tokenized-stocks-safe/) walks through what can go wrong, and the [tokenized stock glossary entry](https://cherry.fun/learn/glossary/tokenized-stock/) explains how the claim on the issuer works.

Pre-IPO tokens deserve their own warning. They are issued by intermediaries, not by the companies, and give economic exposure through a special purpose vehicle with no shareholder rights; in 2026 some of the companies warned publicly that share transfers they had not approved may not be recognised. The [pre-IPO token entry](https://cherry.fun/learn/glossary/pre-ipo-token/) sets out the companies' own statements.

## Where the token shows afterwards

An RWA token you bought sits in your wallet like any other SPL token. In the Trading Terminal it appears on the Portfolio screen under "Holdings", next to your memecoins and stablecoins, with "Positions" and "Activity" on the tabs beside it. The cost basis there comes from trades you made in the Terminal, so an xStock bought elsewhere shows a value without one.

Every Solana address and what it holds are public on-chain. Anyone with your address can see which xStocks it holds, whatever any app shows on your profile.

## What is different from a broker or exchange app

A broker keeps the shares in its own name and shows you a balance; an exchange holds the tokens until you withdraw. On Cherry the token goes to your wallet in the transaction that pays for it, and you decide in the room where the idea came up.

That room is where the trade starts. A holder posts `$TSLAx` with a thesis, the card renders live in the message, and another member taps BUY under it. The call, the price and the swap sit in the same conversation. A trade another member shares in the chat can be copied from the chat in one tap, through that same swap.

The roundup of [where to buy tokenized stocks](https://cherry.fun/learn/compare/where-to-buy-tokenized-stocks/) compares Cherry with brokers and exchanges venue by venue, and the post on [RWAs on Solana](https://cherry.fun/learn/blog/rwas-on-solana/) covers the market behind them.

## Next to RWAs, but not RWAs

Two Cherry mini apps sit close to this topic without selling you a tokenized asset.

Outcome markets live in the Polymarket mini app (chat.cherry.fun/@predict), where you pick an event, choose Buy YES or Buy NO, enter an amount in USDC and sign a Solana transaction in your own wallet. A prediction contract settles on what happens, so it is a market on an event; no off-chain holding stands behind it. The trade sheet's terms line read, in October 2026: "By trading, you agree to the Terms of Use, including that you are not (i) a U.S. person and (ii) located in the United States, France or other restricted territory." Rules differ by country. See [prediction markets on Solana](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/prediction-markets-on-solana/).

[Polymarket on Cherry](https://chat.cherry.fun/@predict)

Lending, staking, savings and LP vaults live in Earn (chat.cherry.fun/@earn), a Cherry-run mini app that in October 2026 listed 22 vaults across four kinds (15 lending, 3 staking, 2 savings and 2 LP). Three vaults link to real-world assets in their own notes: Maple syrupUSDC is "backed by overcollateralized loans to vetted trading firms", Perena USD* is backed by a reserve deployed into "delta-neutral and treasury-backed strategies", and JupUSD is "backed by reserves tied to BlackRock's BUIDL money-market fund". The deposit receipt states its fee before you sign ("Includes a 0.5% platform fee"), and the withdraw screen says "No withdrawal fee". Each vault page carries its own Risks section. See [the Earn mini app](https://cherry.fun/learn/features/earn-mini-app/).

[Earn on Cherry](https://chat.cherry.fun/@earn)

Stock perps are a third neighbour. The Terminal lists perpetual contracts on stock prices; a perp is a contract on the price, so you hold no token and no share. The [perps glossary entry](https://cherry.fun/learn/glossary/perps-crypto/) explains the difference.

## Who uses it and for what

A holder in a token-gated room sees `$NVDAx` posted with a chart and a reason. They read the card's market cap and liquidity, check Jupiter's verified mark, tap BUY and approve the swap in Phantom. The token arrives in the same wallet the room checks for its own entry rule. Stock tokens themselves are not a room gate.

A Seeker owner runs Cherry from the Solana dApp Store build and opens @trade from a chat. The Terminal runs inside Cherry on the phone, and the swap is approved in the wallet Cherry is signed in with, such as the Seed Vault Wallet.

A USDC holder wants a stock token held next to their memecoins. They open the Stocks & RWAs board, pick SPYx, pay in USDC and see it under Holdings beside the rest of their bags. There is no second account to fund and no withdrawal step.

## Limits and honest caveats

Cherry is not a broker. A stock token is a claim on its issuer and the custody arrangement behind it. It is not a share registered in your name on the company's books, and the issuer's rules on who may hold it apply to you.

Tokens can lose value, including tokens backed by shares, gold or loans: the price moves with what backs the token, and the issuer, the custodian and the token's contract add risks of their own. Tokens that copy xStock names exist, so check the Verified mark, the RWA tag and the mint before you buy.

Group chats on Cherry are not end-to-end encrypted, so a trade you share in a room is visible to everyone in that room. DMs are end-to-end encrypted.

The Trading Terminal's room at chat.cherry.fun/@trade had 1,076 members and 5 stars from 3 reviews in October 2026. That figure counts people in the room and says nothing about how many of them trade.

[Trading Terminal on Cherry](https://chat.cherry.fun/@trade)

You can look before you sign in. The Marketplace at chat.cherry.fun/market says "Browse without signing in", and in October 2026 it listed the Trading Terminal under Apps, DeFi, Trading and Perps.

## How to start

1. Sign in at chat.cherry.fun with your Solana wallet. Wallet sign-in needs no phone number, email or KYC.
2. Hold USDC to pay with and a little SOL for network fees in that wallet.
3. Open @trade and its Stocks & RWAs board, or tap BUY on a token card in a chat and then the Terminal chip.
4. Check the token, review "You receive", and confirm the swap in your wallet.

The step-by-step version, with checks at each screen, is the guide to [buying tokenized stocks](https://cherry.fun/learn/guides/buy-tokenized-stocks/). Open the Trading Terminal at chat.cherry.fun/@trade from the chat you are already in.

Nothing here is financial advice. Tokens can lose value.

## FAQ

### Can I buy stocks with crypto in Cherry?
You can buy tokenized stocks. The Trading Terminal mini app lists xStocks on its Stocks & RWAs board, and you pay with USDC or another token in a swap you sign in your own wallet. What you get is a token that tracks the stock, and no share is registered in your name.

### Does Cherry hold my tokenized stocks?
Not when you trade from an external wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or the Seed Vault Wallet. Every buy is a swap you sign in that wallet, and the token lands in it. Cherry is not a broker and does not keep a brokerage account for you.

### Can US residents buy xStocks?
The issuer says no. xstocks.com stated in October 2026: "xStocks are not available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or sanctioned jurisdictions." Check the issuer's rule against your own residence and status before you buy.

### Is an RWA coin such as ONDO a tokenized asset?
No. ONDO is the Ondo DAO's own token, even though CoinGecko filed it under Real World Assets (RWA) in October 2026. Holding it gives you no claim on a Treasury bill or a share. Ondo's tokenized stocks are separate tokens with their own issuer rules.

### Are prediction markets RWAs?
No. A prediction contract settles on the outcome of an event, so it is an outcome market with no off-chain holding behind it. In Cherry, prediction markets are in the Polymarket mini app, which has its own terms and country restrictions.

### What does Cherry charge?
Cherry is free to use. It earns 30% of paid-community payments (as of 10 September 2026), the paid-DM fee and a referral share on in-chat swaps. Cherry-run mini apps such as Earn show their own fee in the app before you sign.
