Prediction markets on Solana inside a Cherry chat

Trade Polymarket events in a Cherry chat: pick YES or NO, enter a USDC amount, read the max payout, sign in your Solana wallet, then close early or claim.

Prediction markets on Solana come to Cherry through the Polymarket mini app at chat.cherry.fun/@predict , whose room describes it as a way to “Trade your view on markets, events, and real-world outcomes.” Cherry (cherry.fun) is a wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto: you sign in with a wallet, DM any wallet address, and join token-gated, NFT-gated and paid group chats. The mini app runs inside those chats. You find an event, buy YES or NO with a USDC amount, and sign the order in your own Solana wallet, with the room’s discussion one tap away.

What the Polymarket mini app does on Cherry

It lists Polymarket events, lets you take a side on one, and tracks the positions you hold until you close them or the market settles. In October 2026 the events on its boards covered sports, esports, politics, economics and culture, and every one of them was a Polymarket market.

The app opens from a Cherry room titled Polymarket. That room had 1,485 members, 318 messages and a 4.8-star rating from 4 reviews in October 2026. The member count includes people who joined through the rooms Cherry suggests during sign-up, so the message count is the better read on how much the room talks.

How it works

You pick an event, fill one ticket, and approve one transaction. The steps below use the labels the mini app shows in the Cherry web app.

  1. Find an event. Tap Search events, or open a card from the home screen. Search filters by category (Crypto, Sports, Politics, Culture, Esports, Economics, Finance, Tech, Mentions) and sorts by Top volume or Newest.
  2. Read the rules. The event page opens with a RULES section, the text that says what makes the market resolve YES or NO and which source settles it. Events with several possible results list each one under OUTCOMES, and markets that already settled sit under SETTLED.
  3. Pick a side. The ticket has a YES and a NO button, each with its current probability.
  4. Enter an amount. Type a dollar figure in USDC or tap a preset: $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100.
  5. Check the numbers. A summary line shows the estimated shares and what they pay. Tap it to expand Price per share, Est. shares, Max payout and Side.
  6. Sign. The button reads Buy YES · $10.00 (or Buy NO with your amount). Tap it, and the button walks through “Preparing order…”, “Confirm in your wallet…” and “Submitting to Solana…”. Your wallet shows the transaction before anything moves.
  7. Wait for the fill. The ticket tells you the order is submitted and settles in about a minute, then shows “Trade confirmed”.

What the numbers on the ticket mean

Each share pays $1 if your side wins. The ticket divides your amount by the price per share to get Est. shares, and Max payout is that share count in dollars. If YES costs $0.25 per share, $10 buys an estimated 40 shares and the Max payout reads $40.00. If NO wins, those shares pay nothing and the $10 is gone. The probability next to each side is the market’s price read as a percentage, so a $0.25 YES shows as 25%.

After you trade

My positions shows an Open P&L figure for everything still live, with the count of open positions and the total at stake. Each row lists the event, your side, your share count, when the market closes, and what you paid next to what the position is worth now.

  • Close early. An open position has a Close button. It sells the position at the current price before the market resolves, which can be more or less than you paid. A toast confirms “Close sent” with the transaction.
  • Claim a win. After settlement the position moves to the Settled tab, where the hero switches to Realized P&L. A winning position shows a button such as Claim $40.00; once claimed, the row is marked claimed.
  • Losing positions. A position on the side that lost shows the result and pays nothing. There is nothing to claim.
  • History. The third tab lists the past trades recorded for that wallet.

Every buy, close and claim is a separate Solana transaction you approve in your wallet.

What is different from trading on a venue’s own site

The markets are Polymarket events, so the difference is where you are when you trade them.

  • One session. The mini app opens with the wallet you already signed in to Cherry with. There is no second account to create and no separate login.
  • The conversation sits next to the market. The Polymarket room is a group chat, and you can open it and the app from the same place. Arguing about a match and taking a position on it happen in one window.
  • Sharing. Events and positions carry a share button that posts a card to the chat or copies a link, so a call comes with the market attached.
  • A Cherry-only leaderboard. The leaderboard toggles between Global and Cherry users, and the Live trades feed has the same Cherry users filter. You can see how traders on Cherry rank next to the global list.
  • Custody. With an external wallet such as Phantom or Solflare, Cherry never holds your funds: each order is a transaction you sign, and your positions are tied to your wallet address.

Telegram trading bots for Polymarket are another route, and they differ mainly in who holds the signing key. The Polymarket Telegram bots comparison sets their custody models side by side.

Other routes to prediction markets on Solana

Solana wallets reach prediction markets through several apps and developer tools, run by different companies. Each route below is a separate product, described with its owner’s own dated facts.

  • Jupiter’s prediction market. As of October 2026, Jupiter’s developer documentation says “prices range from $0 to $1 per contract”, that each winning contract is worth $1, and that winners receive JupUSD payouts. The same page says the Prediction Market API “is currently in beta” and that Jupiter has “restricted United States and South Korea IPs from accessing the Prediction Market API.” Those terms are Jupiter’s own.
  • Polymarket markets through Jupiter. The Block reported on 1 February 2026 that Jupiter was integrating Polymarket, with a Prediction feature in the Jupiter app for trading Polymarket contracts without leaving it.
  • Kalshi markets through DFlow. On 1 December 2025 DFlow announced a Prediction Markets API on solana.com that makes Kalshi markets available as tokenized markets on Solana, with positions held as Solana tokens that other Solana apps can integrate.

For the general idea behind all of these (contracts that pay a fixed amount if an outcome happens), see the prediction market glossary entry . A prediction contract pays on an outcome and gives no claim on any underlying asset, so it sits outside the real-world asset category; tokenized stocks and other RWAs are covered on the real-world assets page .

Who uses it and for what

A room arguing about a result. A group is split on an election count or a Champions League tie. Someone opens the event, reads the RULES section to settle what “win” means, takes YES with $10, and shares the position card back to the thread. The argument now has a price and a settlement date.

A trader who keeps positions next to their chats. You follow a few rooms for calls and want your open positions one tap away from them. My positions shows Open P&L across everything live, and closing a position takes one signature without leaving Cherry.

A community owner whose members already trade events. Members of your group keep pasting Polymarket odds. Pointing them to @predict keeps the trade signed in their own wallets, and the Cherry users leaderboard ranks them against other people on Cherry. For a mini app that should live in your own room, see mini apps on Cherry .

Limits and honest caveats

  • You can lose the whole amount. A position on the losing side pays nothing. Max payout is the most a position can return if it wins.
  • Rules differ by place. Prediction-market rules vary by country and, in the US, by state. As of October 2026, the trade sheet shows “By trading, you agree to the Terms of Use”, and its tooltip reads: “By trading, you agree to the Terms of Use, including that you are not (i) a U.S. person and (ii) located in the United States, France or other restricted territory.” The Terms of Use link opens Polymarket’s terms. This page is not legal advice.
  • No fee line. The trade sheet does not itemise a fee, and this page makes no cost claim. Judge a trade by the amount, the price per share and the max payout the ticket shows.
  • Trades are public. The Live trades feed and the leaderboard show trades with the trader’s wallet or Cherry name, and your trades can appear there too. Every Solana address and its activity are public on-chain anyway.
  • Group chats are not end-to-end encrypted. That keeps moderation working, and it means a call you post in a room is readable by everyone in it. DMs on Cherry are end-to-end encrypted.
  • Web app. This page describes the mini app as it runs in the Cherry web app at chat.cherry.fun.
  • Mini app trust. Any mini app asks your wallet to sign. Read each transaction before you approve it; the guide to crypto mini app safety lists what to check, and the crypto mini app glossary entry explains how they run inside a chat.

How to start

  1. Open chat.cherry.fun/@predict and sign in with your Solana wallet.
  2. Open the Polymarket mini app from the room.
  3. Tap Search events and pick a market. Read its RULES section first.
  4. Choose YES or NO, enter a USDC amount, and expand the summary line to check Price per share, Est. shares and Max payout.
  5. Tap Buy YES or Buy NO and approve the transaction in your wallet.
  6. Track the position under My positions, where you can close it early or claim after a win.

The step-by-step guide to the Polymarket mini app covers each screen in more detail. Spot tokens, perps and tokenized stocks live in a separate app, the Trading Terminal mini app .

FAQ

Can I trade Polymarket markets from a Solana wallet?

Yes. On Cherry, the Polymarket mini app at chat.cherry.fun/@predict lists Polymarket events, and each buy, close and claim is a Solana transaction you sign in your own wallet with a USDC amount. Your positions stay tied to that wallet address.

What does the trade sheet show before I sign?

The side you picked with its probability, the USDC amount, and a summary line that expands into Price per share, Est. shares and Max payout. The button repeats the side and the amount, for example Buy YES · $10.00, and your wallet opens only after you tap it.

What does it cost?

Cherry itself is free to use. The mini app’s trade sheet does not itemise a fee line, so the numbers to check before you sign are the amount you pay, the price per share, the estimated shares and the max payout.

Is the Polymarket mini app available where I live?

Rules for prediction markets differ by country and, in the US, by state. As of October 2026 the trade sheet’s terms line says that by trading you agree you are not a U.S. person and not located in the United States, France or another restricted territory. Read the Terms of Use it links to before you trade; this page is not legal advice.

Who decides the outcome of a market?

Each event carries a RULES section in the mini app that states how it resolves and which source settles it. When a market settles, it shows as resolved YES or NO; a winning position can then be claimed and a losing one pays nothing.

Does Cherry hold my money?

With an external wallet such as Phantom or Solflare, no. Every buy, close and claim is a transaction you sign in that wallet, the USDC leaves it only when you approve, and your positions are tied to that wallet address.

Can I sell a position before the event ends?

Yes. An open position in My positions has a Close button that sells it at the current price before the market resolves. That price can be above or below what you paid, and the row shows both figures.
