How many Solana Seekers sold? 175,000+, Solana Mobile says

How many Solana Seekers sold: every public figure with its date and what it counts, from 140,000 presales to the on-chain Seeker Genesis Token count.

How many Solana Seekers sold? Solana Mobile says the Seeker “has sold over 175,000 units globally”, on its MWC Barcelona exhibitor profile, which carries no date. Every other public figure measures something else: 140,000+ presales in September 2024, more than 150,000 preorders when shipping began in August 2025, and more than 121,000 Seeker Genesis Tokens minted on-chain by October 2026, one per phone set up with a Seeker ID. This page lines them up with their dates. It comes from Cherry, the wallet-to-wallet messenger and community app for crypto, which ships on the Solana dApp Store and hosts the largest Seeker owners community.

How many Solana Seekers sold: the figures, dated

Seven public figures from Solana Mobile and the press, plus one anyone can read on-chain. The last column says what each one counts, which matters more than its size.

The same exhibitor profile also mentions “150,000+ power users and 100+ dApps”, again undated. The MWC 2026 announcement adds that Seekers shipped to 50 countries, with sales led by the US, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

What each figure counts

Three words carry most of the confusion: sold, shipped and active. They are different numbers and Solana Mobile reports them separately.

A presale or preorder is money down for a phone that may arrive months later, or never if the buyer cancels. Shipped means boxes left the warehouse. Sold is the company’s tally of purchases, and 175,000 is the sales figure Solana Mobile gives for the Seeker alone. Activated, the on-chain count, needs the owner to switch the phone on and set up a Seeker ID. Participating means a device did something in a campaign, and active means it was used recently.

Use these rules before you quote a number:

  1. Shipped is not sold, and sold is not activated. Quote the 175,000 figure as Solana Mobile’s sales claim, with its source.
  2. Saga devices are not Seekers. The 200,000 figure covers both phones, so it overstates Seekers by however many Sagas shipped.
  3. Participating is not active. 100,000+ Seekers in Season 1 means they took part at some point in that season, not that they use the phone today.
  4. Wallets are not phones. 85K+ weekly active wallets is a wallet count, and one person can run several wallets.
  5. Never add two of these together. They overlap, and several count different things.

The on-chain count: Seeker Genesis Tokens

Every Seeker mints one Seeker Genesis Token when its owner sets up a Seeker ID, and Solana Mobile’s developer docs say it “can only be minted once per device”. Each token is its own mint, and every genuine one joins a single on-chain group at GT22s89nU4iWFkNXj1Bw6uYhJJWDRPpShHt4Bk8f99Te.

That group keeps a running size: the number of tokens minted into it. You can open the address on Solana Explorer and read the Token Group extension yourself. In October 2026 it stood above 121,000, and it grows slowly now: fewer than a thousand new tokens were minted between early August and early October 2026.

What the count includes and leaves out:

  • It counts devices, not people. One owner with two Seekers counts twice.
  • It counts a phone once, for good. A Seeker that sits in a drawer after setup still counts, so this is not an active-user number either.
  • It misses phones whose owners never set up a Seeker ID, and phones still in transit or unopened.

So the gap between the 175,000 sales claim and roughly 121,000 tokens is not a measure of anything on its own. Some of it is phones not yet set up; the public data does not say how much.

Active Seekers and SKR holders

No public figure counts Seeker phones in daily use. The nearest numbers are campaign and wallet counts, and each needs its date.

Season 1 of Seeker Season wrapped in January 2026 with over 100,000 participating Seekers, more than 265 dApps, 9 million transactions and $2.6 billion in volume, by Solana Mobile’s count. In March 2026 Solana Mobile reported 85K+ weekly active wallets and $5B+ in onchain volume.

SKR launched on 21 January 2026. Solana Mobile’s MWC 2026 announcement says “Over 75,000 users claimed SKR at launch, with 46% staking.” That is a claim count from launch. SKR trades freely, so wallets that hold it now include people who never owned a Seeker, and owners who skipped the claim are missing from it.

What this means for Seeker owners

Your phone’s token is one of the 121,000-plus in that group, and it is the proof apps check when they limit a reward to one per device. Solana Mobile’s developer docs tell apps to record the mint address of the token that claimed, so moving it to a fresh wallet does not produce a second claim.

Two practical points follow. A Genesis Token cannot be bought, so anyone selling “Seeker verification” or a pre-activated wallet is selling something the chain will not honour. And the .skr name issued in the same setup proves the same thing in places that check names: a .skr domain is soulbound, so a room gated by it admits Seeker owners only.

What this means for builders

Size your Seeker plans on the activated count, not the sales claim. More than 121,000 devices had a Seeker ID in October 2026, and that is the audience a device-gated drop can reach.

The Genesis Token is the anti-farming tool: gate a claim on it and record the token, and one phone gets one claim. Campaign figures such as Season 1 participation show how many owners respond to a featured app, which is a better guide to a launch than the 175,000 headline. For getting in front of those owners, distributing a Solana dApp covers the dApp Store, mini apps and targeted airdrops, and the best Seeker apps shows what owners already run.

Where Cherry fits

Cherry can add one number from its own rooms: how many Seeker owners show up in a verified room. The Seeker Club is gated by a .skr name, with the requirement line “Hold a .skr domain”, so joining takes a name that is issued only through a Seeker ID, checked once at join. In October 2026 it had 8,717 members, 59,626 messages and 4.9 stars from 44 reviews.

Cherry also runs an SKR Holders room, gated by at least 1 SKR. Its 5,714 members in October 2026 are SKR holder wallets that signed in to Cherry and were added to the room, a count of holders rather than of conversation. Neither room is a sales figure, and neither should be added to Solana Mobile’s.

On the phone itself, Cherry is #1 on the Seeker dApp Store with 4.8 stars, as of September 2026. To join, open Cherry on your Seeker and follow the Seeker Club guide .

FAQ

How many Seeker phones have sold?

Solana Mobile’s MWC Barcelona exhibitor profile says the Seeker “has sold over 175,000 units globally”. The profile carries no date. Earlier company figures were 140,000+ presales in September 2024 and more than 150,000 preorders when shipping began in August 2025.

How many Seekers are active?

No public figure counts Seeker phones in daily use. The closest public numbers are 85K+ weekly active wallets, from Solana Mobile’s MWC 2026 announcement in March 2026, and more than 121,000 Seeker Genesis Tokens minted by October 2026, which counts phones set up with a Seeker ID, not phones in use.

How many people hold SKR?

Solana Mobile’s March 2026 announcement says over 75,000 users claimed SKR at launch, with 46% staking. SKR is a tradeable token, so its holders include people without a Seeker, and Seeker owners who never claimed are not in that count.

How is a Seeker counted on-chain?

Each Seeker mints one Seeker Genesis Token when its owner sets up a Seeker ID, and every token joins one on-chain group at GT22s89nU4iWFkNXj1Bw6uYhJJWDRPpShHt4Bk8f99Te. The group’s size, shown on a Solana explorer, is the number of tokens minted: more than 121,000 in October 2026.
